This species occurs in Vietnam at moderate altitudes.

The pseudobulbs are approximately 8 to 10 cm high. The leaves are 25 to 35 cm long and 5-6 cm wide. The inflorescence develops simultaneously with the new growth, carrying 1 to 3 flowers, 8-10 cm across. The flowers are slightly fragrant.
