This species is found in Peru (Chachapoyas, Leimebamba) at altitudes of around 2500 m.

T. regia carries the largest flowers of the genus, 4cm long and 5mm wide.
The tails are around 4cm. Leafsize 4-5cm.

It is best grown mounted under cool - intermediate conditions.
